Susan Delfeld | Director of Human Resources

Susan Delfeld is the Director of Human Resources here at the Corcoran Jennison Companies. As a member of the senior management team, she is responsible for understanding the business strategy and implementing HR solutions to meet that strategy. She oversees employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation, and benefit administration.

Susan’s three decades of diversified human resources and business management experience has been a guiding force for all coaching and leadership development here at CJ since she joined our team in 2010. She creates and implements a clear road map for development and performance management for over 400 employees across all of the Corcoran Jennison companies.

Prior to her work here at CJ, Susan has advised senior executives in a wide range of industries including banking, investment management, professional services, wholesaling, manufacturing, software, medical devices, and environmental services. She also has worked with leaders of nonprofit organizations.

Susan’s corporate experience includes ten years with Fleet/Bank of America and eight years with The Boston Company/Mellon Bank Corporation in a variety of HR managerial and consulting roles. In these roles, she developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills and expertise in designing HR solutions in support of strategic business goals.  She counseled senior management and managed the talent acquisition process and communications efforts during several bank mergers.   

Susan earned her BA in Psychology with a Business minor from Stonehill College. She holds a certificate in Management and Administration from Harvard University’s Extension Program and a certificate in Compensation Analysis and Design from the University of Michigan Executive Education Program. Susan is certified to administer FIRO-B and the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory.
